Learning Support Assistant 

Salary: £12,175

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our excellent team of staff at our school.   Although the contract is initially for a fixed term there is the possibility of a permanent contract for the duration of the children's attendance at the school.

Hours: 30 hours Monday to Friday - 8.45am to 3.15pm (with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break) term time only

We require an enthusiastic, flexible and good humoured individual to provide additional classroom support. The successful candidate must work well within a team, have a good rapport with children and remain calm under pressure. 

The successful candidate should provide sensitive and skilled support for a child with type 1 diabetes alongside his existing team, in order to ensure his full and successful inclusion into daily school life and a child with Downs Syndrome.

Whilst experience of supporting a child with diabetes or Downs Syndrome would be an advantage, full training and ongoing support will be provided.

SENCO required for September 2020 

Salary: MPR/UPR and TLR 2a

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed and experienced or excellent practitioner with relevant primary experience for the role of SENCO.  The successful candidate will become part of our Senior Leadership Team and have strategic responsibility for inclusion across the school.  They will hold the National SENCO Qualification or seeking to undertake the accreditation.  Applicants should have good knowledge of a stimulating primary curriculum, high expectations of children's achievements and behavour and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching.

The role is mainly non classed based, although a small amount of class teaching, PPA cover or teaching interventions will form part of the role.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has experience of working with children with Special Needs
  • has knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
  • supports the aims and mission statement of this Church School
  • has evidence of  a clear vision about the future development of teaching and learning of SEND at the school
  • is an excellent role model

 Cover Staff

We are keen to build up a bank of people who can provide cover when the school faces staff shortages due to sickness and training.  We are particularly keen to build up a pool of staff to cover our Breakfast Club, After School Club and during lunch breaks.

The hours are as follows:

  • Breakfast Club: 7.05 a.m. – 9.00 a.m.
  • Lunch: 12.15 p.m. – 1.30 p.m.
  • After School Club: 2.45 p.m. to 6.15p.m.
